Colorado girls we're unforgettable!

Last night one of my best friends, Bree, and I went to the Katy Perry concert:

My ticket! We were on the main level on the left

When we were planning the whole event (carpooling, times etc) we made sure to analyze and discuss our outfit choices. I wanted to go for a hippie, cool, Coachella vibe and she something centered around cool and sexy. Bree even designed and made her own feather headband, which she totally pulled off around her head.

I decided to wear dark wash Vigoss Studio jean shorts, a floral bandeau from Nordstrom, a cool crochet tank, navy TOMS, some jewelry and a cross-body bag:

Bree wore jean shorts from Ross, a teal Forever 21 tank, her own peacock feather headband and black AMI clubwear over-the-knee boots.

B and B chillin before the show. Note the SUPER CUTE headband.

The only reason we look wet is because, well, we were wet. Right as we got there it started raining like in a hurricane. Awesome way to start out the evening but we didn't really care.

Speaking of fashionistas, Katy Perry is one herself. Having changed outfits almost 15 times (4 or 5 of them during "Hot and Cold"), I especially liked a fur-coat/dress adorned in thousands of sequins:

There were definitely some interesting fashion choices for the California Dream Tour... plastic dresses, pleather bustier leotards and the Bert shirt the man to Bree's right had chosen special for the occasion. I just don't understand why a 30-some year old man would go to a Katy Perry concert alone but whatever floats your boat. He was pretty much the only creeper we encountered, fortunately.

It was a fantastic evening full of fashion, music, friends and fun.

My new poster because who wants to buy a $45 shirt or $85 sweatshirt?

Summertime and the livin' is easy

So I just set up a skype account..... We'll see how that goes.

I also recently got one of those fancy-pants Shellac manicures that are supposed to last a minimum of 2 weeks without any peeling or chipping, and guess what started peeling away today? My peppermint pink polish. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I went swimming more than once this weekend, or because they were worked to the bone in the process of putting on my BRAND NEW knee-high gladiators.

I bought them Friday from a woman who designs them and has them hand-made in Costa Rica, where she spends her falls and winters. I wore them two different ways for my weekend adventures.

Saturday my mindset was bohemian chic, as I was lollygagging around Boulder and wanted to fit the part.
Thus I wore white Jolt shorts, a gold Laquette foil tank, gold braided headband from Forever 21, my brown Lulu crossbody bag and a floral chiffon top purchased at Neiman Marcus, designed by lovol.

Sunday night we went out for pizza and ice cream and I paired my sandals with a fitted black tank dress form Nordstrom BP, a gold ALDO necklace and my brown Lulu crossbody bag.
