Out with the old, in with the new...old new

Sometimes in movies or books, it's discussed that people often search through their closets for something to wear only to rediscover things never worn with sales tags still intact. Some people may think that discovery is totally unrealistic, but, though the tags had been taken off previously, that often happens to me. This week, most of my fashion choices were dedicated to the notion of wearing something I've never worn before (rarely wear.)

Monday I channeled my inner "Grecian cowboy", if you must. I paired short, brown Frye boots, a one-shoulder Francesca's Collection white dress, Gap light-wash jean jacket with a gold, sequined Nordstrom belt.
Jacket-Gap $45, Dress-Francesca's Collections $20, Belt: gift

Frye boots-$210

Tuesday I went for floral, Harvard alum with a maroon, pinched-sleeve Gap tee, gold floral Francesca's necklace, red floral Nordstrom Rack skirt and black quilted Sam Edelman flats with gold studs.

Similar tee-Delia's $9.99

Sam Edelman flats-$130

Wednesday I rocked my fabulous new pink Tulle peacoat, favorite Delia's skinnies, white lace Elizabeth and James tank and black leather, knee-high boots from Nordstrom.

Tulle jacket: $85

Delia's jeans- $49.50

Thursday I wore a black body-con Nordstrom Bp tank dress, cropped 3/4 sleeve pink ruffle BP cardi, black leather jacket and Coconuts by Matisse tan suede, over the knee boots with gold studs.

BP dress- $24

BP Cardi- $48

Coconuts by Matisse boots-$100

Friday I looked like I was headed straight for a JCrew shoot. My cream, ruffled JCrew skirt was paired with an orange, Victoria's Secret tube top, gold floral necklace from Francesca's, mustard Halogen cardigan and brown leopard flats form Forever 21, surprisingly.

Cardigan-Nordstrom $79, Skirt-Jcrew $150,  Top-Victoria's Secret gift, Necklace-Francesca's Collections gift

Flats-Forever 21 $20

Digging through your closet to find new ways to wear old (or never before worn) things is a great way to always look fresh and save money.

Remember a girl should always be two things: classy and fabulous.

Sorry for Party Rockin'

So. Much. Glitter. Last night, 5 of my best friends and I went to the LMFAO/Ke$ha concert. It was insane. I got beer spilled on me, there were fights, glitter was thrown, confetti was shout out of cannons and we had third row floor seats....Although, I wouldn't say they were seats because we stood the whole time.

Our "seats"

Before we went in, we met a wonderfully dressed young fellow. No idea what his name is but Kesha did call him up on stage during her concert. He was rocking the brown, sparkly Uggs, leopard vest, short shorts and feathers:

Our new BFF with Joi and Mae
My friends and I were quite stylish ourselves. I wore:

Forever 21 circle shirt in orange zebra, orange bandeau, Vigoss Studio short-shorts, brown Delia's belt, cross-body leather bag and leather flip flops

The rest of my crew wore lots of sparkles:

From left: Emily wore a sequined tank dress I bought in CO Springs and Nike low-tops, Alyssa wore a sequined tank,  Nike low tops and acid-washed jean shorts, Joi wore a sparkle tank of mine form Anthropologie, black bandage skirt and glitter headband and Mae wore an asymmetrical Forever 21 black sequined dress and black leather Converse.

I don't think the glitter will ever come out of my hair or off of my eyes. But who doesn't like a little sparkle?
