Miami-bound

Upon seeing this new blog post one might ask, "Why is a teenage girl up at 4:30 in the morning on a Saturday in the summer?" Well random, un-named stranger, I am up at this ungodly hour so I can say bon voyage to Colorado and hola to Florida as I depart for Miami at 7:30.  So even though I'll be spending up to 8 hours of my day checking bags, being screened by TSA people with no lives and trying not to let my head tocuh the back of the seat, I still dressed like a classy, civilized human being. While it is way too early and too dim to take a photo of my May 28th ensemble, I will describe it instead.

First off, I have my favorite, pink Juicy hoodie because even though it is 90 degrees in Miami, it is 30 outside here right now. Next I have dark wash, Fossil capris, a gold Laquette tank, floral, chiffon tank from the BP and these VERY snazzy new sandals I picked up at Nordie's yesterday:

I was looking for some super cute, gold sandals to replace my disgusting, sweat-infused gold glitter TOMS that I've had for FOREVER. Seriously, those things had been through more than my aunt's cat when my dad "accidentally" put it in the dryer. I swear I had a picture of me gracefully and dramatically throwing them into the garbage but it must have gotten mixed in with the 400 or so other pictures called "Image23485920" in my email.

The last day of school was this past Thursday (as if you couldn't tell from the number of times I've mentioned summer in this entry). Luckily I had choir as my 4th hour class that day so there was nothing for me to study for. I just had to bring enough Spiderman fruitsnacks to satisfy 30 screaming girls. Spiderman is quite the ladies man and my favorite superhero, hands down. On that final day of freshman year I wore:

An orange and white-striped Patagonia tank dress, tan "I used to be rice bags" sandals from Nordstrom, my (new!) brown, leather, cross-body bag and a white cardigan from GAP:

I can guarantee that is the one and only time you'll ever catch me alive in Patagonia. I'm not the rock-climbing, hiking-boots, skinned knees type.

And while I'd love to keep blabbering on and on, I must now sign off to go to the airport. The airport where hundreds of smelly strangers congregate and don't wash their hands and eat McDonald's and try to talk to you on the plane. The kind of people who use airplane bathrooms, which I have boycotted for some time now, and wear tie dye animal shirts and are always opposed to switching seats with me so I don't have to touch them. Those are the wonderful people I'm bound to encounter this morning. But don't be jealous, I'll make sure to take some pictures.
