Short and sweet

This week's blog entry is just as the title says, short and sweet, to make room for next weekend's homecoming dress themed post! That's right, the first formal meet-and-greet dance of the year is two weeks from yesterday, Saturday October 15th. Our theme this year is the poorly-chosen and highly despised Prehistoric Dinosaurs or "Getting down with the dinos" as the thousands of posters lining the hallways proclaim.

Moving on....

I picked up the cutest peplum floral dress this afternoon. I went shopping with a friend at the local mall whose store selections started to turn for the worst after Abercrombie, Victoria's Secret and Fossil moved out and Angels, Fusion and FT Casuals moved in...I guess it's just good the gun and knife store never came back. Pac Sun was having a HUGE sale--50% off of the lowest prices on their racks.

Since Colorado's weather is totally bi-polar and we still have highs in the mid-80's even in October, I plan on wearing this with cute sandals and a light cardigan. For real fall, it would be easy to thrown on tights, boots and a leather jacket.

So keep an eye out for next week's homecoming post. I saw friends today who had been looking for 4 hours. They usually shop for half as long as I do but I might be dead if my journey takes 8 hours to complete.
